The purpose of the Lithopolis Honeyfest, which is held in September, is to provide education (and food and entertainment) related to the art and science of beekeeping.
Section 5.2249 of the Ohio Revised Code proclaims as follows:
The first Saturday following the first Monday in September is designated as “Lithopolis Honeyfest Day” to honor the annual honey festival held on that day in the village of Lithopolis in Fairfield County.
The 2017 Honeyfest (the 11th Annual) will be on Friday, September 8 and Saturday, September 9.
