The Village of Lithopolis is excited to welcome Kenndey Hall and welcome back Hey Alveh!
Hey Alveh (pronounced ‘Al-vie’) is a three-piece beachy shoegaze band from Southern Ohio. The band’s name Hey Alveh stems from a lifelong nickname that was accepted and turned into a musical formality by multi-instrumentalist – Alveh. The members Alveh, Ty and Kaylin formally created the band in 2017 and play originals that combine sunny beaches, fun and anxiety. This is on full display in their self-title album last August that combines upbeat “surfy” vibes with soft melancholy lyrics.
Kennedy Hall is an emerging artist from Columbus, OH, crafting folk and soul-inspired indie rock. Influenced by Bright Eyes, Fiona Apple, and MJ Lenderman, her pure vocals soar above biting bluesy guitar tones, nodding to her favorite band Wednesday and the rising wave of alt-country. Kennedy’s EP Spitfire released in March explores the pull of nostalgia alongside the angst, grit and determination to move forward. Whether she’s performing solo or with her band her raw, vulnerable performance connects listeners through collective introspection and healing.
