Council passed a new rate ordinance that kept the water and stormwater rates frozen for another year. In addition, the Mayor recommended, and Council approved, a reduction in the Water Availability Charge from $7.00 to $4.00.
Council had to stay with the 3% annual increase for sewer services since that rate is used to pay Canal Winchester for sewage treatment.
Council also extended the solid waste franchise to Rumpke Waste and Recycling for an additional year. The new residential rate will be $25.00 per month, a $0.95 increase.
