The Village Fiscal Officer is responsible for management of the village’s bookkeeping, personnel records and more.
The responsibilities of the Fiscal Officer include, but are not limited to:
Attending all meetings of the Village Council and keeping a record of its proceedings and all rules, bylaws, resolutions and ordinances passed or adopted
Keeping the books of the Village, exhibiting accurate statements of all moneys received and expended, of all the property owned by the Village and the income derived therefrom, and of all taxes and assessments
Overseeing accounts payable activities
Keeping all personnel records and processing payroll
